About the Event
We are delighted to present Friends of Photography: A Community in Focus, a joyful and inclusive exhibition celebrating the work of a local photography collective that meets monthly in the gallery.
Running from 20 February to 27 March, the exhibition brings together photographers united not by a single style, subject, or piece of equipment, but by a shared love of taking photographs. The images on display celebrate curiosity, experimentation, and the simple pleasure of seeing the world through a lens.
The photographers represented range from first-time exhibitors to experienced hobbyists. Some work with mobile phones, others with DSLRs or mirrorless cameras, but all share the same spirit: learning from one another, swapping ideas, and enjoying photography in an open, supportive environment. The exhibition is rich and varied, where everyday moments sit alongside carefully composed scenes, and personal perspective is valued just as highly as technical skill.
